About P&M Contemporary Doors
P&M Contemporary Doors Ltd was established in 2019 by Paul Mc Carville originally from Monaghan and Mirek Podemski who is originally from Poland and has lived in Ireland for 18 years. The Company showroom is based in Unit 1 Lakeside Business Park, Dromiskin, Co.Louth A91AT81. The two men got together and founded this Company where they import a very large range of internal door sets from the well established DRE Door Company in Poland. Dre Door Company was established in 1989 and now produce more than 1,000,000 door sets per annum so when you buy a door from P&M Contemporary Doors you know that you are in safe hands. You will also be guaranteed a top product which is produced in their factory. The DRE Company pride themselves in satisfying customers’ expectations in relation to the highest quality of products and service. They have invested in the latest technologies and solutions to ensure their products remain at the highest level.
Background to P&M Contemporary Doors
Paul and Mirek met and Mirek was telling Paul about the huge range of top quality products which could be bought in Poland at very competitive prices. Paul went to Krakow a short time later on holidays and took time to visit a large hardware store. He saw the pre hung pre finished door sets available and could see that there was a gap in the Irish market that these doors could fill. One big advantage of these door sets or door kits was that they came with a frame, architrave, hinges, lock and handle and could be fitted easier than the traditional door. Another advantage was the quality and cost of these door sets. Paul approached Mirek and asked him if he would be interested in setting up a Company here to import and sell these door sets.
The next big task was to source a Company in Poland to supply us. Mirek went straight for the top and approached the “DRE” door Company, the Number 1 Door Company in Poland and got a meeting with them.
Mirek and Paul made a number of trips to Poland where they got agreement from “DRE Doors” to supply door sets to them. They then set up a Company “P&M Contemporary Doors Ltd” to specifically import doors and associated products from Poland.
The two men worked hard to create a modern showroom in Tenure Business Park which they planned to open on Friday the 13th of March 2020 but that turned out to “Lock down Day” because of Covid 19. During Lockdown they started advertising on Facebook and started selling doors online. Some of their first customers were in Portlaoise, Tralee and Belmullet. We now have almost 11,000 followers on Facebook and those numbers are growing.
In February 2022 we moved to a bigger, better and brighter showroom at Unit 1, Lakeside Business Park, Mooretown, Dromiskin, Co. Louth where we have also have much more storage space.
